Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1964 Ford Falcon convertible. The Falcon was produced from 1960-1970. Marketed as Fords first compact car. The Ford Falcon is considered the “mini me" of its big brother the Ford Galaxie. Three generations of the Falcon were produced in the 1960s. The second generation was produced from 1964-1965. In 1964 the Falcon featured a more squared off design offering many body styles including a convertible, 2-door, 4-door, station wagon and utility vehicles.
This 1964 Ford Falcon convertible has been through a rotisserie build. Nothing has not been touched including all new rubber, steel lines, bumpers, cloth convertible top/ rear window and a 1965 grille and taillights. The interior has received the royal treatment with new red upholstery, re-chromed 1965 dash, refinished steering wheel, custom radio, and a lighted one- off shifter. Under the hood of this beauty is a 1967 “K" code 289 cubic inch V-8 rebuilt .030 over with a polished Shelby-Paxton blower. The engine was balanced, and blue printed with additions including World Heads, Eldelbrock performer manifold and cam, 8,5-1 forged pistons, milled Holley 650d.p., OEM dual point distributor, OEM low profile chrome valve covers and rare cast iron performance exhaust manifolds. The transmission is a rebuilt C-4. All attached to the rear wheels with a Ford 8" 3.55 Strange, Auburn posi rear end. The suspension has been completely gone through with all new upper and lower arms, tie rods, idler arm, center link, sway bar bushing, new leaf springs w/ weld-on traction masters and a rebuilt steering box. Brakes have been rebuilt station wagon drum brakes. Lastly, a ceramic coated exhaust with iron headers, 2 1/2" pipe, X-crossing and competition mufflers gives this Falcon a great sound.
This shiny red 1964 Ford Falcon convertible is a site to behold. A build designed to magnify its originality in appearance, but with one turn of the key it is obvious this not your ordinary 1964 Falcon.
